Review: MAC Cremesheen Glass

MAC Cremesheen GlassClaim: A lip finish that fuses the creamy, sheen-filled nature of Cremesheen Lipstick with the shine of M∙A∙C Lipglass. Soft, comfortable, non-sticky. Applies with a doe-foot applicator. Use as a top layer to its namesake Lipstick or on its own.

Review: Ah, how do I love thee, Cremesheen Glass? Let me count the ways. (spoiler: four. I love it four ways)

  1. I searched far and wide for non-frosted, non-sparkly lipgloss that actually provided color payoff/coverage instead of looking either clear or only faintly tinted. Don’t ask me why I didn’t automatically think of MAC; I think my brain was broken. Stupid brain. Anyhoo, this is everything I ever wanted in a lipgloss: no frost. Actually shows up as a color.
  2. It doesn’t get grainy as it dries, unlike a lot of glosses. That always feels gross. And glosses that get grainy invariably dry my lips out, too. Not so with this! My lips feel perfectly fine after it wears off…
  3. …Which doesn’t happen too soon. I’m happy to report that it lasts a good hour at least, and that’s just because I’m a spaz who constantly presses her lips together whenever I have something on them. If you’re not like that, I bet ya this would last to two hours before needing reapplication.
  4. The smell is awesome. I’m not a girl who objects to scented products, unless said scent is nasty. This scent is sweet and pleasant and, for something that sits under my nose any time I wear it, totally non-objectionable to me.

My sole beef with this gloss is the price. It’s at least twice what you could get drug store glosses for. However, drugstore glosses also have FROST. And NO COLOR. So to me, the $18.50 is worth it like whoa.
